Refund Policy

The Short Version

If you're not satisfied within 30 days of purchase and haven't accessed more than 20% of course content, we'll give you a full refund — no questions asked. Email refunds@readwriteds.com.

1. Overview

ReadWrite Data Solutions Limited ("RWDS") wants every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible products, subject to the conditions set out below. This policy applies to all purchases made directly through readwriteds.com. Purchases made through authorised third-party resellers are governed by the reseller's own refund policy.

2. Eligible Refunds

  • You request a refund within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • You have accessed less than 20% of the course content (for eLearning courses).
  • For instructor-led sessions: you request a refund before the first session begins.
  • The product or service was materially different from its description at time of purchase.
  • A technical fault on RWDS's platform prevented you from accessing the product, and we were unable to resolve it within 5 business days.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

  • More than 30 days have elapsed since purchase.
  • You have accessed 20% or more of online course content.
  • An instructor-led session has already commenced (partial refund may apply at RWDS's discretion).
  • Digital products (hosting accounts, database access, software licences) that have already been provisioned and used.
  • Courses purchased as part of a corporate training agreement (governed by the relevant SOW).
  • Certification exam fees paid to third-party vendors (SAP, Microsoft, etc.) — these are non-refundable.
  • Instalment plan arrears — cancelled plans do not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund: 1. Email refunds@readwriteds.com with the subject line "Refund Request — [your order number]". 2. Include your full name, email address, order number, product name, and reason for refund. 3. We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day (WAT). 4. If approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds may take 3–5 additional business days to appear depending on your bank.

5. Partial Refunds

In situations not covered by the standard 30-day guarantee, RWDS may at its sole discretion offer a partial refund or account credit. Examples where partial refunds are considered: - An instructor-led session commenced but was cut short due to trainer unavailability. - A bundle purchase where only one component is disputed. - Service delivery delays of more than 10 business days beyond the agreed start date. Partial refunds are applied to account credits first, unless you explicitly request a return to the original payment method.

6. Corporate and Instalment Plans

For corporate training engagements, refund terms are defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and take precedence over this Policy. For instalment plan customers, cancellation of the plan stops future payments but does not entitle the customer to a refund of instalments already made, unless the conditions in Section 2 are met.

7. Currency and Exchange Rates

All refunds are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) at the original transaction amount, regardless of subsequent exchange rate fluctuations. RWDS is not liable for currency conversion losses.

8. Changes to This Policy

RWDS may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your order. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered customers.
